According to the Daily Mail (UK) Brazilian cat owner Cassia Aparecida de Souza, 18 is claiming her cat mated with a neighbors dog and three months later gave birth to six offspring, three of which have dog traits.

In many countries declawing cats is illegal, and seen as inhumane. I will spare you the details of what it can do to our feline friends. This is not an article to shock and upset, rather it is meant to inform and offer some alternative solutions. "Fleas are a nuisance" - that's what people would most probably describe these little pesky creatures. However, fleas can be more than just a nuisance to their host. They can in fact cause some medical problems which include:

Flea Bite dermatitis which are caused by the saliva of the fleas. When flea bites, it excretes its saliva to prevent clotting of its victim's blood and some people and some animals suffer allergic reactions to the flea saliva resulting in flea bite dermatitis. These may causes intense itch and inflammation and hair loss in cats and dogs, which are often seen as bald patches especially near the rear.

People love their pets and rightly so. When it comes time to
move, however, pets get stressed out. This is particularly true
for cats, which means you need to take some calming steps.

Is your cat getting fat, lazy, and bored?
Cat toys are a great way to keep your cats occupied and entertained. They arouse the cat's curiosity and the cat spends considerable time chasing, mangling, twisting, and playing with the toys. The toys that excite them most are usually those that make sounds, swing on strings, or are easy to catch. Cats have a limited attention span, however. It therefore makes sense to rotate out the toys on a weekly to monthly basis. Otherwise your cat will lose interest.
